Retailers Surprise By Beating Weak Expectations
Heading into February retailers have been struggling to meet same-store sale expectations. In a surprising release though led by Wal-Mart, February same-store sales were beat across the board.
Wal-Mart posted a 2.6% increase in same U.S.store sales excluding fuel sales, which topped projections of flat to 2% growth.
Other retailers include names such as Sam’s Club, Costco Wholesale, Target, Macy’s, Sears Holdings, Home Depot, and others.
